Penwick is proud to announce Regal Affaire a 2 year old Cleveland Bay sport horse stallion. He is 50% Cleveland Bay and 50% TB. His sire, IdleHour Yorktown, is an excellent example of the Cleveland Bay breed. He is even mannered and has a ground covering stride that made him competitive in eventing and the hunt field. Regal's dam is a TB mare that was owned by legendary eventer, Denny Emerson. She competed into the upper levels of eventing before becoming a broodmare.

Penwick has high hopes of Regal, he is the perfect cross of the Cleveland Bay and Thoroughbred bringing a huge Warmblood stride and suspension to his gaits and the rhythmic canter of a Thoroughbred. He is sensible, bold and brave and when he sees something new he marches up to it ears forward. He has been very easy to work with and happily wears a saddle bridle and ponies out on the trails. Regal is expected to mature to 17.2HH.

We look forward to his first foals in the Spring of 2009 out of an Oldenburg mare, a Cleveland Bay Percheron cross mare and a Thoroughbred mare.
